Convention Guidelines
GENERAL:
- All convention rules must be followed.
- For your safety, everyone is required to remain on the convention grounds for the entire period. No exceptions will be allowed.
- Adhering to convention rules will guarantee an enjoyable time filled with spiritual benefits.
- Any disorderly conduct that limits the other participants' right to enjoy the convention will be dealt with immediately.
HOUSING:
- Please respect the rooming assignments and only sleep in your designated room.
- ALL occupants will be held financially responsible for any damages to the room occupied.
- Please respect the peace and privacy of other occupants in the retreat center.
- Everyone is required to be in his or her assigned room by 12:00 a.m. or as indicated in the schedule.
ATTIRE:
- Activity attire: Ladies may wear knee-length for sports and activities. NO short-shorts, sleeveless shirts, or halter-tops.
- Christmas pajamas or sweaters:
- Must be in good taste
- Footie pajamas are acceptable
- Must have top and bottom (no pajama dresses)
- No "back flap" pajamas
- Loose sweats and t-shirt type shirts are acceptable (no off-the-shoulder shirts) -- heavier shirts, such as sweat shirts, are also acceptable
- Any bottoms worn must extend below the knew (including shorts)
- There may NOT be any writing on the rear-end of the pants
- Appropriate words down the leg are acceptable (such as school or sports team or brand names)
- Logos must be appropriate
- Tops must have sleeves (no tank-top style tops)
- Robes are acceptable (diocese dress code must be followed underneath robe).
- General Convention attire (see image below): skirts below the knee, long pants, short or long sleeved shirts. No caps, No ripped jeans, No faux / fake ripped jeans.
ATTENDANCE:
- The retreat center conference facility wilI be the meeting place for all lectures, liturgies, prayers, etc.
- Attendance at all liturgies, meetings, prayers, stations, and events is expected and mandatory.
- Activity participation depends upon your regular meeting attendance.
- Cellular phones must be turned off during all scheduled activities unless instructed otherwise by committee.
- Chewing gum is not allowed during scheduled activities.
BEHAVIOR:
- Christian behavior is expected from each attendee.
- Inappropriate language is unacceptable and will NOT be tolerated.
- No smoking or consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed.
- No computer games or iPods allowed.
MEALS:
- Only appropriate fasting foods will be served since this will be during the Nativity Fast.
- All buffet meals will be catered by the facility.
- Snacks and drinks will be provided during the course of the convention.
- No food delivery services permitted. No exceptions.
